In 2004 NorthStar rose out of the desire to, quite simply, take the mystery out of the college admissions process. With 4,000 colleges from which to choose, the task before a high school student is daunting. For parents, the process is often complicated and the cost of tuition/room/board so high, no one wants to make a mistake. Parents want what's best for their child, and the decisions seem monumental. My goal is to simplify the process; I work with students to choose "right fit" schools.
We will put together the best possible application package - materials that will allow the student's personality to shine through. Most importantly, throughout the process, I keep the student on track. Deadlines loom and each college has its own requirements and essays that need to be submitted. With careful planning and organization, together we can navigate our way through the maze.
Why should an admissions committee choose you rather than another candidate? By getting to know her students, Ann will help to flesh out each individual story and together produce an application package that the student can be proud to submit.
At NorthStar College Counseling, our mission is to provide personalized college counseling services to high school students. We believe that every student deserves to find the best-fit college to achieve their academic and career goals.
